Flat Thrust Needle Roller Bearing

The flat thrust needle roller bearing consists of a thrust cage assembly with needle rollers or cylindrical rollers and a thrust washer. The needle rollers and cylindrical rollers are retained and guided by the thrust cage. When used together with thrust bearing washers of different series, flat thrust needle roller bearings can provide a wide variety of configuration combinations.

By using high-precision cylindrical rollers (needle rollers), the contact length is increased, allowing this bearing to achieve high load capacity and high rigidity in a very limited space. Another advantage is that if the surfaces of adjacent components are suitable for use as raceways, the washers can be omitted, resulting in a more compact design. In DFB thrust needle roller bearings and thrust cylindrical roller bearings, the cylindrical surfaces of the rollers are modified profiles, which reduces edge stress and improves service life.

The thrust needle roller and cage assembly is the main component of thrust needle roller bearings. The needle rollers are held and guided by radially arranged pocket-type cages. The cage cross-section has a specific shape and is formed from hardened steel strip. Small-size cages are made of industrial plastic.

High-precision needle rollers are grouped with a diameter tolerance of 0.002 mm, ensuring uniform load distribution. The thrust needle roller and cage assembly is shaft-guided, so even at high speeds the guiding surfaces maintain relatively low circumferential velocity.

If the surfaces of adjacent components are designed as raceways to eliminate washers, an especially space-saving support structure can be achieved. If this is not feasible, compact designs can still be realized under sufficient support conditions by using thin-walled steel AS series washers.

Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings 811, 812, 893, 874, 894

This type of bearing consists of a thrust cylindrical roller and cage assembly, a housing locating washer GS, and a shaft locating washer WS. The 893, 874, and 894 series thrust cylindrical roller bearings are designed for higher load applications.

The cage of DFB thrust cylindrical roller bearings can be made from high-quality stamped steel sheet, or alternatively from industrial plastics, light metals, or brass, depending on user requirements and operating conditions.
