Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearings

The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearings is formed by precision stamping from thin steel sheet. It consists of the outer ring, cage, and a full complement of needle rollers. This type of bearing has an extremely small radial cross-sectional thickness while providing a relatively high load-carrying capacity, making it particularly suitable for high-volume applications where cost efficiency is important.

The outer ring of this bearing is interference-fitted into the housing and does not require an axial retaining device. Even under high-speed and heavy-load conditions, it can maintain effective performance. In addition, the large grease reservoir ensures long lubrication intervals. Typically, single-row drawn cup needle roller bearings do not have lubrication holes, while double-row bearings are equipped with lubrication holes.

This type of bearing generally does not use an inner ring. If an inner ring is required, the IR-type inner ring can be selected.

Drawn cup needle roller bearings are divided into open-end types (HK series) and closed-end types (BK series). Compared with the open-end type, the closed-end type has one sealed end, making it suitable for shaft ends and capable of withstanding small axial displacement forces.

Sealed Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearings

Sealed drawn cup needle roller bearings are equipped with sealing rings to protect the bearing from contamination and grease leakage under normal working conditions. They can operate continuously within a temperature range of -20°C to 120°C. With appropriate grease replenishment or for short-term operation, they can be used at temperatures up to +130°C.

The sealing rings are made of synthetic rubber with good lip elasticity and are reinforced with a steel backing, providing strong mechanical rigidity. In addition, the sealing ring also serves as an axial guide for the cage.
